Islam has no place for hero worship since a hero is followed blindly. Instead, our deen emphasizes effort and sincerity to walk on the footsteps of those whom we admire and who are well-versed with Islam. For even Abu Bakr (Radi Allaho Anho) told his people that if you see me doing something wrong, do not follow me then and correct me. We all claim to be leaders and yet we never accept our mistakes and lack of knowledge. Our ego bites us.
Down with the impervious ego, no shame in being imperfect!
